03 Jul Harry Bowness gains England Schools cap
SGS College student and recent graduate from our Golf Academy, Harry Bowness will gain his first England Cap after a stellar display in the Finals of the English Schools at The Kendleshire Gold Club.
With rounds of 75 and a fantastic second round of 67 (-4), Harry would finish second in the tournament by a single shot, and become our second best ever finish in the event.
Last year Jake Bolton won the English Schools title.
Harry’s endeavours maintain a long history of SGS students and coaching staff, which have represented their country as England Schools’ internationals.
Harry will play in both international matches against Wales and Scotland before taking up a scholarship for winter training at the Tournament Golf College, based between St. Mellion and Portugal.
