03 Jul Jake Harvey wins Coaches Player of the Year
At the recent Sport’s Awards, golfer Jake Harvey won the coveted Coaches Player of the Year.
There were a number of players in the running for this award including Ryan Prosser, Harry Bowness and Max Hitchings.
Speaking after the award ceremony, Head of Golf Academy Peter Langford gave the reasons for his choice.
“This year Jake has qualified for all competitions including the AOC, ICT and school’s regional and national events.
“He has also demonstrated excellent commitment to the Academy and over two years, he has listened well, practiced hard and as a result has been a regular part of the Inter-Collegiate teams. He also has shown the ability to get along with the group and to pull the team together with his relaxed style. Perhaps most importantly he has a distinction profile for his academic course.”
