SGS Seven’s play at Twickenham

SGS College Women’s Rugby Academy had the fantastic opportunity to run out at the home of English rugby in Twickenham stadium.

The girls were invited to play a 10 minute exhibition game against Hartpury College before the finals of the HSBC World 7s Series.

The girls ran out in front 50,000 people and had the chance to meet and listen to experiences from Fiji Olympic 7s winning coach, Ben Ryan and former British and Irish Lions centre and captain, Brian O’Driscoll.

It was an amazing opportunity for all of those who have had involvement with the Seven’s team this year and a memory the players they will never forget.

Afterwards, SGS Captain Jess Dadds said: “The girls were absolutely buzzing for the day and it capped off and incredible season for us.

“To lead SGS out onto the Twickenham pitch in front of so many people was just unbelievable. The day has been a highlight of my rugby career so far and one I will never forget.”
